You must vote against authorizing Trump to go to war with Iran. There is absolutely no justification for another administration to lie us into a Middle East quagmire as Bush did with Iraq. As former military you should respect our armed forces enough not to send them willy-nilly into a war.
Trump lied about Iran being an imminent threat to us, they are years and years away from any weapons that could pose a threat to the United States. Trump has made clear he has no idea what the point of this war is: one day it is regime change, the next day it is not regime change. It would be irresponsible of you to vote for committing our military to a campaign where the CiC cannot even articulate why they are being sent off to die.
Beyond the death and destruction, our gas prices will skyrocket and voters will know who to blame. You are in a purple district and have hitched your wagon to an administration with a 35% approval rating. If nothing else, the political calculation for you should be straight forward. Vote for peace. Vote against another pointless war.
